Policy in Action – WINnovators Joint Multiplier Event

The Challenge
Mainstream education systems — especially in rural areas — often exclude young women from access to entrepreneurial, STEM/STEAM, and sustainability training.
WINnovators set out to close this gap by creating inclusive, lifelong learning environments that connect higher education with local communities and policymakers.
Beneficiary
The primary beneficiaries were young women from underserved rural communities at risk of marginalization. HEI students, educators, and local policymakers also benefited from the collaborative approach.
Indirectly, the event supported communities across Romania, Italy, Slovenia, Estonia, and Serbia by empowering future change agents and improving educational practices.
Delivered by
The event was delivered through the WINnovators Erasmus+ project, coordinated by Tallinn University. Key contributions came from Professor Kai Pata, who introduced the project's goals and milestones, and Irina Florea-Saghin from Iceberg+’s team, who led the interactive policy session.
The event was a joint effort by all project partners across participating countries.
The
Solution

- Brought together over 47 policymakers and stakeholders via a virtual platform
- Showcased three country-specific case studies highlighting innovative approaches to community engagement and skills development

This format enabled the exchange of best practices and supported the development of strategic policy proposals.
